A.G. Miller provides painting and coating services that will meet very specific requirements and will be completed in a timely manner. Powder coating provides superior protection to sheet metal and is applied using a multi-step process that will not chip, crack, or peel. The Defense and scientific industries as well as others still require liquid painting for that reason A. G. Miller offers liquid painting in our Automotive type booth. It can also be color matched more quickly than a powder.
A.G. Miller has a variety of equipment to perform accurate and engineered projects for our clients. Some of the equipment includes an Amada Pulsar LC2415 Laser Cutting System and the Strippit 1500 H/30, one of the largest and fastest CNC Turret Punch Presses in the world. A.G. Miller manufactures many kinds of products, including computer control consoles, stainless steel tanks and hoods, machine bases, custom brackets and hardware, and enclosures of every size and shape. Click here to see pictures of our products.
A.G. Miller, a precision metal fabricator, offers a wide variety of engineering and manufacturing services to our customers: • Forming, rolling, and bending • Laser cutting • Precision saw cutting • Welding • CNC Machining
Powder coating is a great alternative to wet paint for metal parts. After a part is fully cleaned, removing any dirt, grease and oil from the surface, the powder is applied using an electrostatic gun. The gun imparts a positive electric charge to the powder, which is then sprayed towards the grounded object by compressed air and then accelerated toward the work piece by the powerful electrostatic charge. The powder is drawn from the hopper where the powder is stored. After the part is fully coated with the correct amount of powder, it is moved into a large industrial sized oven which allows the powder to bake onto the part. Once it is baked on, the part is removed and set to cool.
Laser cutting is the technology that uses a laser to cut through materials, in this case metal. A CNC machine is programmed to direct the laser at the sheet metal, which melts burns and vaporizes the piece being cut, leaving the edge with a high quality finish and edge. Our equipment enables us to provide quick prototyping and rapid start-ups on production cutting orders. The automated laser sheet metal cutting technology allows us to be more flexible for our customers. Continuous production reduces cost and increases productivity of our metal cutting services.
The punching process can punch holes, shear, notch, form louvers, and punch angles. The state of the art CNC machine allows us to create and produce large qualities of sheet metal parts in a short period of time. Using CNC allows for production repeatability and to reduce errors, CAD software is used to program the punching. Our equipment can punch carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in sheet and plate forms. This allows our customers to order their precision sheet metal punched parts when they need them and receive their order in a timely manner.
Sheet metal forming is the bending and rolling of sheet metal. The metal forming process deforms the sheet metal into a desired geometry. In order to deform the metal, a force must be applied that will exceed the strength of the sheet metal. Our equipment is capable of bending and shaping sheet metal with capacities up to 242 tons and 148 inches long.
A.G. Miller can provide you with all of your custom enclosure needs including cabinets, enclosures and racks in a full range of sizes and colors. These can be created using steel, stainless steel, or aluminum.
